Background:  Botan is an upperclassmen at Yuka's and Kei's school.  She's a spoiled brat who insists in getting her way, no matter who she hurts in the process.  She comes from a rich family and loves spending money on dolls, manga and cosmetics.  In spite of her personality flaws, she can be generous when she feels like it, and has a lot of friends.  She seems to hate Yuka, but nobody knows why.

Comments:  Does she scare you ^o^?  I've always wanted to make a doll with this coloring, for some reason ^^;.....she still startles me a little.  I tried hard not to make her look like Nina, the other doll I made with a red pigtail head. ^_^;;.....

This time, I completely sketched the eyes on the head with a mechanical pencil before I painted them a la "paint by numbers."  It took me a while to get it right, and I broke out in a cold sweat! I noticed that many Japanese doll artists draw the eyes on the head with pencil, not just to shape the iris, but to map out the entire eye.  Botan looks different from my other dolls, doesn't she ^_^;;?   I modeled her after some dolls I've seen on Yahoo!Japan by an artist called "twin invaders"....^^.  What do you think?  I didn't use any black at all; her pupils and the top and bottom of her eyes are painted dark brown (burnt umber, actually).  Her irises have a ring of yellow, a ring of orange, and a ring of red in them.   It was a little hard to do, because the orange and yellow paint were awfully watery.

I'm still trying to get used to her.  Her eyes look like they could burn me up!   O_o

Leene's Comments:  Botan-chan may be spoiled, but she isn't a snob ^^;;....why, just last night she brought  all her friends in here and had everyone dancing on the tables with her...^^;;......
