Comments: This was one hard doll to find! I had fallen in love with her and the other two dolls from Volks' new series, Ryundel (the blonde) and Olphe (black hair and glasses). They were released at Dolls Party 9 and were sold at the after event as well, but by the time I pried my attention away from the Super Dollfies and tried to find them it was too late ^_^;....They do pop up on Yahoo!Japan occasionally, but for ridiculous prices.   All three dolls are pretty, but I liked Roise's hair and eyes the best. I had considered having a deputy service bid on one of the dolls on auction, but with the high Buy-It-Now price and added fees, I probably would have ended up paying close to $300 for her.

So I decided to test the waters with Crescent Shop. I hadn't ever dealt with them directly, but I had been planning on ordering some customizing materials from the NDR Japanese site anyway. I asked them to look into Roise and Ryundel, and, wouldn't you just know it, Roise was still available in the Volks showroom they shop at! ^o^ With the fees she ended up costing me $180. Not bad considering her original price, huh?

I haven't been too impressed with Volks' recent 1/6 scale dolls, but they did a fantastic job on this doll! Her eyeprint is as gorgeous as Zarla's. From what I've seen of Olphe and Ryundel, they're just as pretty. If I didn't know better, I'd think Roise's eyes were hand-painted. Such lovely shading! ^___^

I admit that her bangs are a little long (it's too bad, because she has nice eyebrows!), and her hair has a tendency to stick to her body. Other than that, she's one of the nicest commercial dolls I've seen. Volks will be releasing more of these dolls in 2004. I can't wait to see them!
